Our Flacht location continues to set a good example when it comes to the use of renewable energy! For a few weeks now, another building (Flacht 2) and our parking deck have been equipped with photovoltaic modules.
This expansion of our PV infrastructure marks a significant step forward in our mission to minimize our environmental footprint and reduce our dependence on fossil fuels. By integrating photovoltaic systems on Flacht 2 and the parking roof, we expect to achieve an annual energy production of 51,37 MWh. This will enable us to save a further 22,64 tonnes of CO2e, which is equivalent to the effect of planting around 1.040 trees.
The integration of heat pumps and photovoltaic systems is already standard at many of our locations. These investments in renewable energies not only contribute to our environmental balance, but also to our long-term profitability. By lowering our energy costs and reducing our environmental impact, we are taking a leading position in an increasingly sustainable economy.
But our goal goes beyond that. We continuously strive to implement an environmental management system to further reduce our ecological footprint. This includes not only the integration of new technologies, but also the optimization of our operational processes to use resources more efficiently and minimize waste.
